When Yan Yan joined Y-WE, she was a Form 3 secondary student who wanted to become a lawyer one day. Without any guidance from family or friends, she was at a lost. Through the program, she was placed in an international legal firm for internship. “I felt privileged to be able to have such an experience when I was young.”
After the experience, she was more determined to pursue the career path, and she also realised the importance of improving her English as there are a lot of terminologies in the field.
“Y-WE helped me in many ways. I gained the importance of law in a society and the required skills for the profession. The experience helped to enhance my confidence and motivation; it provided me with the social network to pursue this career. The learning experience will stay with me for the rest of my life.”
